Responding to RFAIs

June 29, 2020

FEC Campaign Finance Analysts send Requests for Additional Information (RFAIs) when they need clarification or identify an error, omission or possible prohibited activity on a committee’s report. If you receive an RFAI, be sure to respond by the deadline listed in the upper right hand corner of the letter. The FEC can’t issue extensions under any circumstances, and failure to respond may result in further Commission action.

Please communicate directly with the analyst identified in the RFAI. Responses may be filed using the Reports Analysis Division’s contact form or Form 99.

Please visit our website for more information about RFAIs and what to include in your response.
