Texas special runoff election reporting: 6th district (2021)

May 24, 2021
Texas's 6th Congressional District

Texas has scheduled a Special Runoff Election on July 27, 2021, to fill the U.S. House of Representatives seat in the 6th Congressional District held by the late Representative Ron Wright. No candidate received a majority vote in the May 1 Special General Election, triggering a runoff between the top two vote-getters.

Participating candidates must file additional reports in connection with this election. PACs and party committees that do not file monthly and make previously undisclosed contributions or expenditures in connection with the special runoff must also file additional reports. The complete list of deadlines and related filing information is available on the Dates and deadlines page. PACs and party committees that file monthly should continue to file according to their regular filing schedule.
