Reporting guidance for Georgia runoff elections (2020)

November 25, 2020

Georgia will hold general and special runoff elections for its two U.S. Senate seats on January 5, 2021. Participating campaigns must file additional reports in connection with these elections, and should review the report notice for the general runoff or special runoff, as appropriate. Political action committees (PACs) and party committees not filing monthly are also subject to additional reporting if they make previously undisclosed contributions or expenditures in connection with the runoff elections.

PACs and party committees participating in the general runoff election, but NOT the special runoff election

PACs and party committees not filing monthly must file pre- and post-general runoff election reports if they make previously undisclosed contributions or expenditures in connection with that election between November 24 and December 16. Contributions and expenditures made prior to November 24 would appear on the committee’s Post-General Report, due December 3.
