FEC’s February 8-9 conference to be held virtually (2022)

January 14, 2022
2022 FEC Virtual Conference

Due to the recent increase in COVID-19 cases, the Commission’s February 8-9, 2022, conference will be held virtually.

During the two-day training event, Commissioners and FEC staff will conduct a variety of technical workshops on the federal campaign finance laws affecting federal candidates, political party committees, and corporate, membership, labor and trade association PACs. Presenters will lead in-depth discussions on best practices for compliance, reporting scenarios, and recent developments in federal campaign finance law. Workshops are designed for those seeking an introduction to the basic provisions of the law as well as those with more experience.

Registration information

The registration fee is $695 per participant. The fee will be 50% refundable up until 5:00 p.m. (PT) on January 21, 2022. No refund will be made for cancellations received after 5:00 p.m. (PT) on January 21, 2022.

During registration, you will choose the track that applies to the type of organization you represent—a candidate’s campaign committee, a party committee or a corporate/labor/membership/trade PAC.

Beginners should register for Basics for Beginners on Day 1 and Recent Developments in the Law on Day 2. More experienced participants may choose to attend Recent Developments on Day 1, rather than Basics for Beginners, though some may benefit from the refresher Basics provides. On Day 2, experienced participants may choose our scenario-based Advanced Campaign Finance Practicum or Recent Developments, if they did not attend that workshop on Day 1.

More detailed information is available on our conference website.
