COMMISSIONERS WEINTRAUB AND TONER CONFIRMED BY SENATE
WASHINGTON – The United States Senate on March 18 confirmed by unanimous consent the nominations of Ellen L. Weintraub and Michael E. Toner to serve on the Federal Election Commission.

Commissioner Weintraub, currently serving as Chair of the Commission, was appointed to the Commission by President Bush on December 6, 2002, and sworn in on December 9. She replaced Commissioner Karl J. Sandstrom.

Commissioner Toner was appointed by President Bush on March 29, 2002, and sworn in April 1, 2002, replacing Commissioner Darryl R. Wold.

Both are serving terms that began in April 2001 and will expire April 30, 2007.
